Writing Your MBA Application Personal Statement: Now with Half the Cheese...
This is not an easy task. How do you accurately and sincerely portray yourself to the admissions committee?
The key is to write this thing a bunch of times. Remember that no one is looking for your autobiography here. I suggest sitting down and writing out everything you want to say. You will be amazed how many great things you have to say about yourself. Definately throw this one away. Avoid trying to tie in some craftly thematic element. For executive MBAs the task is somewhat easier because you have your professional experience as the obvious backdrop for the application. Even so, a carbon copy of your resume won't do.
I believe admissions committees at top schools crave diversity in its trueist sense. Are you a dynamic element that will add to the mix of 50 or so cohorts already in consideration? Answer that question and you will have your best shot.
